My experience taking the Eurotunnel LeShuttle

Have you ever taken the Eurotunnel LeShuttle? Over the years, we’ve driven from the UK to mainland Europe many times. And would usually take the ferry from Dover to either Calais or Dunkirk. However, with Frank the pup joining us on our travels, we have switched to the Eurotunnel instead. We’ve used it for three return trips so far and have already booked our next trip in a few weeks’ time. So, I thought I would share my experience taking Eurotunnel LeShuttle with you all. In case you wondered what it is like on the Euroshuttle. Or are thinking of booking the Eurotunnel yourself for a trip to mainland Europe.

Zurich in two hours – a brief Zurich walking tour

Exploring Zurich in two hours - Travel for a Living

I am slowly but gradually getting back to some more travelling for work. Not quite as frequently as back before the big C. But let’s be honest, I don’t think I need a repeat of 2019 any time soon. Which in hindsight was probably just a tad too much. But this isn’t really about looking back. Instead I was going to tell you about my most recent trip to Zurich. And how I managed to go exploring and see Zurich in two hours, despite a busy work schedule.

Hi guys. It’s been a while. Hope you’ve all been well in these last few months? I am glad you are still here and haven’t completely forgotten me. Sorry, somehow life got a little hectic and the blog had to stay on the backburner. But, I’ll try my best to make up for it going forward. Anyhow… I thought I might take the opportunity to tell you a little about our most recent trip, a weekend in Skegness Lincolnshire.

Emily in Paris Season 2 locations

Emily in Paris Season 2 has finally landed on Netflix yesterday. Have you seen it yet? Confession: We binge watched almost the entire season straight away in one go. And I immediately started noting down all the Emily in Paris season 2 locations I could identify. I mean, as you do, right? Obviously, there are some familiar sites, like Emily’s apartment and her workplace, but there are also a few new ones, that haven’t featured in season one. I won’t bore you with the familiar ones here, as I’ve covered them in length in my first Emily in Paris filming locations post.

Mother-daughter pre-Christmas weekend in Paris

End of November, mum and I met up in Paris for our (almost) annual mother-daughter weekend. I mean, a Christmas weekend in Paris? What could be better? We were both looking forward to it. Making travel plans in the current climate is a bit risky, so when booking, I ensured that all could be cancelled until the week before. Just to be safe. But, against all odds (with Covid cases on the up again, we were a little worried until the last minute) we made it to Paris. And it does seem it was last minute, as travel restrictions were tightened again in the UK whilst we were on our Christmas weekend in Paris.

What to expect flying Luxair

What to expect flying Luxair - Travel for a Living

Hand on heart, have you ever heard of Luxair? And if so, have you ever flown Luxair? If you are based outside Europe, the answer is probably no. As Luxair isn’t necessarily the biggest European airline there is. But it has actually been around for quite some while (Luxair was founded in 1962, if Wikipedia is to be believed). And they are the flag carrier airline for Luxembourg. Ok, that might be more to do with the fact that they are the only airline Luxembourg has, but hey, let’s not be picky. A day trip to Luxembourg a while back gave me the chance to experience my first ever flight with Luxair and more recently I flew with them again (for another day trip from London to Luxembourg). Which obviously gave me the perfect excuse to tell you all about flying Luxair. If you are considering a trip to Luxembourg, let me share with you my experience of what to expect flying Luxair.

My first flight in a very long time

591 days. This is how long it has been since I last boarded an aircraft. Little did I know, when waiting in the British Airways lounge at JFK that the flight back from New York would be my last flight in a very long time.

Five hundred and ninety-one days! As someone, who would average 80 to 90 flights a year and who’s record still stands at six flights in seven days, this is almost beyond belief.
