After I’ve shared with you all the beautiful Christmas lights in Vienna, I thought it was only fair to also show some of London’s Christmas lights.
If you are heading to London for your Christmas shopping, take the time to pause, look up and enjoy the lights around you (well if you do so anywhere near the shopping streets, ensure you also stay alert, otherwise you might be trampled down by the stampede of Christmas shoppers).
Every year Oxford Street, Regent Street and Carnaby Street (to Name just a few) hang their lights and whilst some of the elements stay the same for several years (like the snow balls on Oxford Street) other elements change every time.
This year my absolute favourite is the Carnaby Street Christmas decoration. Never one for understatement, this year they’ve outdone themselves.
The entire street is lined with bright neon writing. And not just any writing, but the lyrics to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
Maybe not your traditional Christmas carol, but it sure looks stunning. And colourful. And it makes you sing along as you walk down Carnaby Street.
So if you are in the area, make sure you don’t miss it.
