3 Nights in North Wales

I love a short getaway. So, this Easter weekend, we decided to go on a little break and have 3 nights in North Wales. I must admit, even though we’ve lived in England for 15 years now, we’ve only ever been to Wales once (same goes for Scotland). And that was literally just popping over the Prince of Wales bridge during a weekend in Bristol. We didn’t even make it to Newport or Cardiff that day. Not sure I can even count this as visiting Wales. About time to finally rectify that.

Two Nights in Copenhagen

At long last, I finally visited Copenhagen. I had been to the airport several times before, but always on my way to nearby Malmö. Never actually into town. But this year’s mother-daughter-weekend was two nights in Copenhagen. Since mum had never been there either… well actually, this was her first visit to Denmark. And what could be better than a Christmas weekend in Copenhagen?

In recent years Copenhagen has become a rather popular destination. There are plenty of direct flights available to CPH. And it is less than two hours flight from London and other European capitals, perfect for a weekend trip. Let me tell you what you can see in two days in Copenhagen.

Back in August, we decided to have a relaxing dog friendly weekend in Cromer / Norfolk. Not the first time we had been to the Norfolk coast. Weekend on the Isle of Wight aka Frankie’s first Holiday

Last weekend, we went down to the Isle of Wight for a long weekend. And you know what? This was the first time, we had been anywhere since our short trip up North, back in September. And it was actually the first time our puppy Frank spent a night away from home.

It has been well over two years since we had last been down to the island. And as some of you might remember, it didn’t quite go to plan for me. My weekend on the Isle of Wight was cut a little short, thanks to getting stuck in Paris for an extra day (something Mr T frequently keeps reminding me of).

Ever thought about cycle touring in the UK? No? Well me neither. I mean, I have started a tiny bit of cycling last year and have done a few rides with Mr T at home and on holiday (like our day trip from San Francisco to Sausalito for example). But sitting on my bike for days on end? I don’t think so.

Let me be straight with you here. Yes, it is me writing this post, but it wasn’t me actually doing the 3-day bike tour from Cambridge to Norfolk. It was Mr T putting in the effort. I am just here to tell you all about his first ever cycling tour.
